Welcome to the Dance Department at Notre Dame Academy. Here students not only gain knowledge through instruction and practice but are given the intellectual space to develop as dancers and dance artists. With an emphasis on technique, dance history, and dance composition, students learn the fundamentals while diving deeper into the artistic process through inquiry based learning.
What does a Virtual Dance Class look like?
The Dance department has transitioned to the virtual space with ease by continuing our focus on technique, choreography, and now exploring dance for the camera. Students collaborate to create dance studies that use zoom as parameters for artistic expression.
